To whom to pray
Pray in Jesus‘Name
Whatever you ask in my name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son (John 14,13).
Jesus says that because of His name God will acknowledge and hear our prayers. God, our Heavenly Father, has made it possible to have access to His throne in Jesus’ name.
Pray through Jesus
Jesus said: I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14,6).
Pray to Jesus
We can trustfully turn to Jesus in prayer. We should do so in spirit and in truth, as the bible commands us to. We can only pray in spirit and in truth and stand in God’s presence if we are free from sin.
Pray to God
We at any time can pray to God our Heavenly Father as His children redeemed by the blood of Jesus and through our turning away from sin.
We thereby should not disregard the fact that many call to and worship a God who has nothing to do with the Son of God Jesus Christ and serve an idol or demon.
Pray to the Holy Spirit
The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are ONE in the sense of their plans and character. However, they are seperate „Persons“. The Holy Spirit is the helper as promised by Jesus before his ascend to heaven. He is where ever He is needed and ALWAYS glorifies Jesus Christ as our Savior.
